Ms Harrison, Headteacher

Dear Parent/Carer,

The end of term is fast approaching and we have four full weeks left. Many would expect that things would be slowing down in schools ,however it is quite the opposite, with many celebrations and events taking place in the coming weeks. Please take time to check the dates that have been sent home in letters and in the newsletter, the last thing we want is one of you missing out on an important event.

One of the exciting events taking place next week is the second Dean Trust Active Challenge. It is fantastic that we have over 40 children from kS2 running in the race as well as the large majority of staff.

Parents and carers are also welcome. It will take place at Knowsley Hall ( Lord Derby’s estate) with the children’s race starting at 2.30pm.

As I am sure you have seen, there has been considerable developments at the front of the school. Thank you for being understanding and patient, while this work has been completed.

Yesterday we had Mr Terry Burke visit our school from the beginning of the day until 10.30am. Mr Burke is one of our parent Governors who represents you as parents and carers on the governing body. We watched the beginning of the day, visited lessons and spoke to the children and staff. Mr Burke was extremely impressed ,particularly with how confident the children were and how smart they all looked in their full uniform.

Have a great weekend.

Mr Kenny, Senior Leader Charge
