At Park View Academy , we believe it is extremely important that parents / carers are fully involved in school life and in their child’s learning. As a result of this belief, we endeavour to keep you fully updated on your child’s progress throughout their whole school journey. Outlined below is how make this happen:
- Parents’ Evenings – we hold parents’ evening twice a year. This is the perfect opportunity to speak with the class teacher about your child’s progress. The class teacher will talk you through your child’s work and provide you with targets / next steps in your child’s learning so that you can support your child at home.
- Assertive Mentoring – All children in school take part in our Assertive Mentoring Programme. This programme focuses on all aspect of progress, not just academic progress (Eg, behaviour, uniform etc) Parents are informed immediately if there are any areas of concern via a letter. Each letter sent home asks parents if they would like to come into school and meet with the class teacher to discuss any concerns raised.
- Annual Report – An annual report is sent home at the end of each academic year. Truthfully, the annual report shouldn’t tell you anything you don’t already know, as you will have been continually kept up to date on your child’s progress throughout the year! However, our annual report is very detailed. It clearly outlines the progress each child has made during the year and provides clear targets for the next school year.
- Just call in! – We are always here for you!
